so close to my house and the krs portland office, but i still haven't ate here! the review on portland hamburgers seems positive enough!
this week i will eat here...

did manage to eat at francis on alberta yesterday...

fucking delicious! i got the biscuits and sausage gravy. they give you 2 biscuits for $5 and they are huge. i had to take one home because it was so much... also got the hash brown potatoes. it was one big fried potato, but it seemed like it had some sort of cream inside? i guess i should get a digital camera to take photos of food... pretty good!

what can i say?

willamette week has a nice article about hanging out behind the scenes of the new bloods' video shoot for "double" with some photo stills and stuff... looking forward to seeing how the video turned out!

my friends skuffz, jesse, and florence came over and we made pancakes (w/ bananas instead of eggs), blackberry compote, fried potatoes w/ rosemary, garlic, and cheese, and sage pork sausage. delicious times!
also coffee, orange juice, and lemon ginger echinacea juice!

also we dyed eggs.

Sadly to say...I never got any pics of Jeff Hanson, New Bloods, or tons of others I saw!
Jeff Hanson was great at the KRS showcase.... no pics because I was still trying to get a guest list squeezed out of the sxsw ( thanks James, and Shawn ! SERIOUSLY for helping out !!! ).
New Bloods sounded as good as ever, so good that I am looking for their next local show I can hit up !
Highlights were also High Places,Shunda K from Yo Majesty, Pig Out, Tristan Perich ( insane noise ), Juice Box when he fell through the roof at Ms Bea's then then promised to pay for the damage , and White Williams was intriguing, as ever.

So here's a picture of Health who after seeing them the first couple of times in the beginning of their tour...I have to say ...whoa...you can really tell when a bands' been on tour for awhile....in a good way!

ok, so for some reason the pictures I took of Islands turned out rad!....I think it was the stage lights at Waterloo Park. I had the pleasure of listening to a bunch of new and old songs, and the crowds always went crazy when Subtitle came out to rap!.............Breeders sounded sooooo good! Blitzen Trapper are good friends, and though I only saw them once, we had some good times hanging out watching White Denim, at the Mohawk! ahhhhhhh, free beer!

I was so happy to finally be able to see Shy Child live, and they more than lived up to my expectations!!!
Mika Miko as usual, were simply tight , and fabulous!!! I tried to see them again on Sunday, but had to catch a plane.... )
