if you are in portland, oregon you should go see the new bloods w/ explode into colors and yellow fever at dekum manor.
if you are in new york city you should obviously go to the free deerhoof show at prospect park because it's free and they're going to play songs from their excellent new album (you can also listen on a bunch of npr affiliates and online at wnyc.org, by the way) and then take the subway (or a few, i didn't look up online) to cake shop for the mae shi and imaad wasif show...
if you are in anacortes, wa for what the heck fest owl and the pussycat are playing a rare show... you remember them right? lois and greg moore?
