when excellent 7"s become alright 12"s

i think this is one of the problems of our times right now. not SERIOUS PROBLEMS, but ENTERTAINMENT PROBLEMS. it bums me out when what could be a great 7" ends up getting 5 remixes that go nowhere to become a 12". it's like, can't you save me some money and also save some of that vinyl for other records?
