Well, I think if you had 100,000 fans, they would have your music somehow, and I think that matters more than how much of a profit you are making from selling your music.
And the kids that would have purchased the music could spread the music through tapes made from the record, or cd's, or on the web.
I'd rather have the message/music out to more people, than less people with more profit.
i would go for the fans...
