bummer of the day

i brought a turntable and a bunch of records to the office today and found out that for some reason we need to get a preamp if we are going to use the turntable w/ the receiver we have here... so weird. not that way on the two receivers at home. the other record player here either needs a new tone arm or needle or something... i brought some good records too! guess i'll have to bring them back home...
